| Monica Gordon Born and raised in Northern Colorado, Monica Gordon spent the early part of her career in the high tech industry. Mid-way through her first decade as a working in computer technical support, Monica felt that her desire to truly help people could be better achieved working in a small business of her own. She began looking at her other skills, hobbies and loves for an alternative, a way to truly make a difference in people’s lives. After meeting her husband and their work together on improving their quality of life, Monica has combined her love of plants, her love and care for people, the desire to help other’s with their quality of life and a unique business skill set to create Gordon’ s Healing Harvest. Monica is currently a Student Herbalist at Clayton College of Natural Healing and has been a part of the American Herbalists Guild since 2005. Monica plans to continue her education to be a doctor of Naturopathy. In her pursuit of a simpler life, Monica and her husband are developing their property into a sustainable haven, from generating their own electricity with a wind and solar system and recycling their waste to growing nutritious vegetables in the coldest months of winter. Ian Gordon Raised in a small town in Southern Ontario, Canada Ian Gordon has been in the education and training industry since 1991. With four years of teaching in a detention center for young offenders in Montréal, Québec, Canada, and two years spent creating alcohol and other drug awareness workshops for the Addiction Research Foundation in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Ian has experience in working with at risk youth and an understanding of working with the challenges of the effects of alcohol and other drugs on the individual and their families. After leaving the Addiction Research Foundation Ian moved on to corporate training and education first with IBM’s training company in Canada, PBSC Training. There he spent time as and instructor, a courseware developer and Education Manager for the Toronto District. Here he learned the challenges of adult education and training in a corporate environment. From PBSC Ian moved to HP Education Canada where he worked as a Solutions Architect for online educational systems. Since moving to northern Colorado in 2002, Ian has had the luxury of combining his education and training background with personal reflection and spiritual growth. This brought him to the point of being able to read, study and examine ways we think. He has come to understand how changes in perspective can change one’s ideas, beliefs and reality turning life from a living nightmare full of stress and anxiety to a peaceful, calm existence. |
